2. Side seam pocket with waistband opening
Adding a pocket to a skirt at the waistband opening to get the best of all worlds - a good sized opening to step in and out of the skirt - plus a beautiful deep pocket sewn in to the opening.

Similar to the waistband opening - but this time adding a pocket at the waistband zipper.
Includes techniques to insert a beautiful invisible zipper into the pocket seam.

How does the class work?
Watch the classes online
The class is taught through a series of pre-recorded videos which you watch on line. You can watch them as often as you want, whenever you want.
Watch through any device
The classes are stored online on our web site so you can watch them from any PC, tablet or feature phone. Simply login to the website, open the library and select the video you wish to watch.
Refer back any time
Once you have a class in your library it doesn't 'expire' - you can come back and watch it again for as long as you want.
Exclusive Facebook group

Live Q&A
Once a month Philippa hosts a live Q&A session on line which you are also eligible to watch. You can submit questions in advance or ask them on the night. They are always well attended, informative and good fun. And if you can't watch it live, the replays are all available in your library.

Who is Philippa Naylor?
Philippa is best known in the sewing world as a quilt maker and teacher, having won many international prizes for her quilts and being a sought after teacher.
But long before she started making quilts, Philippa worked as a clothing designer in the British clothing industry and then had a business creating bespoke evening wear and wedding dresses. In fact she credits the skills she learned making couture garments with her success as a quilter.
Having spent the past two years developing a popular series of on-line quilting classes, she has now returned to her first love - garment making.
Working from her Yorkshire Studio which she shares with sculptor husband Peter, Philippa is creating a series of on-line garment making lessons with the goal of helping everyone to be able to make "beautifully crafted, well fitting, individual clothes that you will love to wear."
